[brazil, week 13] Visiting Curitiba + looots of stuff happening

Week 13 was a good one even if busy. It started with a trip to Conservatorio de Tatuí's campus in São Jose for a workshop and concert before going back to Tatuí for one night, then heading straight to Curitiba for a small vacation. This week there was Corpus Christi, which I to be perfectly honest don't really know what is, but it did bring a short holiday giving me and my girlfriend a chance to go on our first real trip together.

Curitiba was nice. It was far from as cold as advertised (it was colder in Campinas when we got back) and also didn't rain a single day. Most of the time I was actually overdressed, since I had prepared for getting cold as I was warned off. Something something no matter how cold it is there will always be this one guy who shows up only to say "Actually back in Curitiba this right here would be nothing", not even the Norwegian guy gets to escape that.

We went to a bunch of different parks, saw capivaras and bought capivara-merch (all gringos love capivaras), ate a lot of good food and some mediocre food, and generally had a very nice calming trip together - and for my part, also an escape from Tatuí.

São Jose was also pretty nice. While I did miss the mark on the 'academic level' of my presentation, making it with too much assumed preordained knowledge, it still was the first time I talked for between 30 and 45 minutes with very little need for translation. This is a milestone in my language learning.

On the topic of language learning, I feel that I need to get back on track on that. Start doing like a 10-20 minute session on Anki whenever I have breakfast or something, really just drill myself on more vocabulary. I feel that my biggest hinder in Brazilian right now is simply just learning more words, and I don't really put any effort into that outside of living and asking people questions. I don't practice it with intent.

Going forward with June, there's gonna be a bunch of stuff happening. So far, I've counted 13 extra events be it workshops, concerts, or extra rehearsals between June 1st and July 7th. This month is gonna be somewhat rough.
